Our main priority is to prepare and connect our students to opportunities post-graduation. To do this, we have developed a number of programs, services, and experiences to assist our students in becoming marketable, practiced, and networked. In addition to the career education of our students, we believe it important to provide our stakeholders with the following data and information on the progress we are making with the resources provided to our office.
First Destination Survey Outcomes
The First Destination Survey is a biannual, online platform that aims to gather post-graduation plans from both undergraduate and graduate students. This new survey initiative is aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers. We work closely with all the colleges and the Associate Deans Council to collect data. The pilot survey launched during the 2015-2016 year collecting data on graduates between August 2015 and May 2016.
Office of Institutional Research Sophomore Survey
The Office of Institutional Research conducts a Sophomore Survey to collect information from early-career undergraduates, including about their satisfaction with their academic experiences, academic and administrative services on campus, co- and extra-curricular activities on campus, and their overall experiences as UNC Charlotte undergraduates. A portion of the survey explores sophomores' opinions about the Career Center.
