Virtual Panels and Lunch & Learn Meetings

Virtual Lunch & Learns offer employers an opportunity to connect with students and alumni in a casual, video-format setting over the lunch hour. These hour-long events are an opportunity for one or more speakers to discuss their professional journeys, provide an overview of their current roles, and describe what it's like to work in a particular industry, with time for a Q&A at the end. Student Organization Referals

Connecting with our various student organizations is a great way to recruit among specific populations at the university. We are compiling contact information and connecting with Student Organization leaders who are interested in employer interactions and presentations. Connect with Jay Skipworth, to discuss these opportunities.

The University Career Center partners with small businesses and start-ups in the area to promote experiences and opportunities to students as your organization grows. While these companies often do not meet our criteria for posting in Hire-A-Niner, we can still promote your opportunities to students who indicate they are interested in completing short-term work experiences.
A “Gig-ternship” is a short-term project that an organization might need help with and there is not enough work to meet the guidelines for a full internship but still constitutes a create learning experience for a student.
