Dr. Suzanne Voigt serves as the Associate Director for Career Branding at UNC Charlotte's Career Center. She oversees all Career Assessment resources, which support students' career development and exploration, and the Competency Compass portal, which assists students in navigating career competencies through on-campus experiences. Additionally, Suzanne supervises the Career Coaches who manage the career development programs in the Career Center, including the Peer Career Ambassador program, Mock Interview Program, and the Career Meet Up program. Suzanne also serves as the Career Coach for the Arts, Media, and Design Career Community and the Faculty/Staff Liaison to the College of Arts + Architecture. Prior to this role, Suzanne served as the Assistant Director for Marketing at UNCC, where she led the rebranding of the Career Center through relational, social media, tangible, and visual marketing strategies. In addition to her work at UNCC, Suzanne served as a Career Consultant at the University of Georgia for three and a half years and oversaw the career development of social sciences and fine arts students.
During her work in career services, Suzanne earned her Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling and Student Personnel Services from the University of Georgia where she focused her research on utilizing the Career Construction Interview assessment with freshmen, undecided students during their major exploration process. Prior to this, she also completed her Masters in School Counseling from Liberty University and her Bachelor of Arts in French from Queens University of Charlotte.
Suzanne is a native Charlottean and loves being able to serve students in her hometown. She also enjoys a diversity of hobbies which include traveling all over the world, painting, costuming, photography, videography, and attending Charlotte’s culture events such as musical, theatrical, and dance productions.
