Lori is an assistant director/career coach responsible for helping students explore and prepare for careers within the technology career community. She also serves the academic departments within the College of Computing and Informatics. Lori is the manager of the Career Meet Up Program, which allows students to connect with career and industry topics facilitated by career center staff, employers, alumni, and friends of UNC Charlotte.
Prior to joining the University Career Center, Lori served as the Assistant Director of Internships and Career Services at Wingate University (NC) for 9 years where she assisted students in the College of Arts and Sciences and all pre-professional programs. Lori has a recruiting background and experience working in various student affairs functional areas.
Lori holds the Global Career Development Facilitator credential and earned a Master of Education in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Berry College (GA).
Lori is actively involved with the North Carolina Association of Colleges and Employers having served in various capacities including President. She recently received the Furney K. James Outstanding Service Award for her outstanding leadership and service to the Association.
Lori was raised outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and enjoys teaching group fitness classes, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Green Bay Packers, and connecting with friends and family over a good meal.
