The University of North Carolina at Charlotte offers a candidate pool of both entry level through experienced professionals through our connections with current students and alumni. The University Career Center represents the starting point for organizations interested in developing a talent recruitment pipeline with the university. Our office offers a variety of creative ways to connect you with our pool of engaged candidates – and a flexibility that is tailored to your specific needs. Our Employer Operations Team is on hand to work with companies, firms, and organizations across all industries and functional areas and interacts with our Career Advisors to prepare our candidates for the world of work. They will work closely with you to design a campus visibility plan to help you identify and connect with candidates for your opportunity.

We do this by:

  • Providing timely and specialized communications to our employers and partners.
  • Creating opportunities for you to build visibility and assist in student development by participating in program events, on-campus activities, and more.

Our connections within the university will allow you to properly deepen your relationship with faculty, staff, and the colleges/schools that we represent. Our team is on hand to help you reach specific academic departments and other opportunities to integrate with our university community. Aside from experiential learning, part-time and full-time opportunities, we offer introductions for specialized projects and partnerships, research, and other avenues to build a strong brand at UNC Charlotte.

Program Overview

The UCC will assist employers with scheduling an information session if they are open to all students at UNC Charlotte. If an employer is ONLY open to a College/School specifically - we will introduce them to our partners to help them with that scheduling.

In the event that there is not space available within the specific College/School, the UCC will do our best to accommodate the employer in our central space.

Large Scale Branding

Recruiting selections below allow your organization to reach a more comprehensive and diverse group of candidates for your talent and branding needs.

Posting Online

Employers can have positions posted through our online recruitment tool Hire-A-Niner. The employer relations team will maximize your listing's visibility by pushing it out to relevant contacts across campus. This tool is also used by alumni which expands the prospective candidate pool. No Fee

Annual usage stats include: 11,000 students/alumni accessed HAN last year


Career Fairs

Join one of our many campus wide recruitment venues to help your brand jump into the minds of students. For more information, check out our annual events. Fee Based

Career Carnival

To welcome our students back to the new academic year, UCC has created a fun and energetic event to connect our students to the office, concepts of career branding, and with our employers and partners. Great option to brand your organization with all students while interacting with them through our games and other means. Fee based

This option provides an option to reach a large number of students in high traffic areas across campus. Indoor and outdoor options are available. No Fee

Preselect vs. Rooms Only Service

Employers may choose our full-service Preselect reservation option, where you will find the University Career Center ready to provide you with a range of services.

We recognize that individual organizations have their own process for talent acquisition, and may be required to use their own system to collect resumes and create interview schedules. In these circumstances, where employers are in need of office space to conduct on-campus interviews, we offer Rooms Only reservations.

Targeted Branding

Company Information Sessions

UCC can arrange a session for your organization to present on areas such as history of the company, organizational culture, target candidates sought, and application requirements.  You also have the opportunity to collect resumes during your session.  No fee.

Company Trek Program

Invite a small group of students to your company’s site for a tour, a presentation about your company, and a meet & greet with company representatives.  No fee.

Host a Dinner or Gathering

Gain an audience in a relaxed setting off-campus by hosting a dinner or event to market your company to a select group of students.  Cost is covered by employer.

Employer Office Hours

Join our office for a day up to a week to meet with students individually or in small groups about their career interests and targets.  Great way to connect with students and introduce your company and industry to them in a more casual setting.This program is for employers who are interested in talking individually with students on a number of career development topics.  No fee

Resume Collection

Market your job/internship opportunity to a targeted group of students to give your listing a bigger marketing presence.  All resumes collected are shared with the employer for further review and consideration.  This service is open to employers with full time or intern needs only.  No fee

Each collection can reach between 10 - 500 candidates depending on job/internship parameters.

Networking Events

Market your organization through networking opportunities on campus in small and large venues.  Help train our students how to network.  No fee.

Events range between 25 - 300 participants depending on target population and event parameters
